At A Glance Olympos,
the place where gods lived... First Zeus resided here, hence came the pirates,
now the travellers see the beauty.. There you experience a strange calmness of
spirit that is somehow mystical and yet curious. The wooden bungalows, bay leave
and orange trees, the ancient city and the river that passes through, the Çıralı
Beach and Yanartaş all come together to create this unique atmosphere and a place
of outstanding beauty.
The
Olympus treehouses are on the other side of the beach to the pensions and hotels.
They occupy their own street, and they are all there is. They are a great choice
of stay for visitors to the area, and most of the people we met while there had
stayed longer than they originally planned. It
is about a 10 minute walk through forest to the beach, but you walk alongside
a freshwater creek, and pass some amazing ruins of the ancient city. At the beach
there is also a large icy cold freshwater pool, which is so refreshing and lovely,
it alone is worth the walk. The
treehouses themselves are all rather similar, most places offering bungalow style
accommodation as well. All of them have wonderful areas with hammocks, and raised
areas with pillows so guests can just sit and relax under the trees and enjoy
the total peace of the area. "Olympos
is probably one of the most magical places in the world. To get to an amazing
beach you take a short walk through a beautiful creek and ancient ruins, they
and the beach are set beneath high cliffs. The way of life in Olympos is completely
addictive- spending your days swimming in either the river or Mediterranean Ocean
, or just hanging out at the pensions lying in a hammock."** **Tiffany
