At A Glance
Kusadasi
is a cruise ship port, set on a bay, and is a genuine tourist haven. Unlike many
of Turkeys popular spots, it does not have famous ruins, or ancient sites. It
is a perfect place to stay for those on their way to the Greek island of Samos.
It
is a good place to visit though, there are plenty of wonderful hotels, from budget
to luxury class. Kusadasi has come to be known for its accomodation, and has sprung
up with tourists in mind. There are lots of great restaurants and bars, the nightlife
here is fantastic, and the view of the city and harbour at night is spectacular.
It
is a perfect starting point for visitors wishing to see places such as Ephesus,
the Temple of Apollo, and quite a few other famous historical sites. And, because
it is such a popular port of call for yachts and other tour ships, the shopping
opportunities here are fantastic. |
