An
altogether civilised and stylish little hotel tucked away with shy effacement
in a back street of Göcek. The atmosphere here is more of a comfortable home or
a private club than a common hotel.
Breakfast
is a special occasion, ensuring guests start their day with a very satisfying
morning. The smart pool and the cosy poolside bar invite leisurely hours in the
shade of the big mulberry tree.
All
rooms have private bathroom and are equipped with facilities to accomodate all
their guests needs.
Each
of the eight rooms is furnished with well-selected antiques which reflect the
host, Mrs Arsal's, background as an antique dealer in Istanbul's fashionable Nişantaşı
district. Tolon Arsal is a yacht builder who left the big city to settle in this
mecca of Turkey's yacht enthusiasts, then went into the hotel business to remedy
an old adage that there was no place to stay in Göcek except at sea. He even keeps
a small sailboat for the benefit of guests who wish to test the truth of that
saying for themselves.
