This
very lovely small hotel is located in the old town of Selçuk near the St. John
Basilica. It is another quality accommodation alternative with overwhelming traces
of history and charm. It also offers the beauty of nature in unique harmony with
traditional architecture and comfort.
The
hotel has 9 double rooms, 2 triples and 1 suite, all with private bathroom and
modern amenities. The rooms each have their own individual design. There are rooms
with and without A/C available, while comfort and ceiling ventilation are standard
to all rooms.
The
hotel is run by Nilgün Hanim who has dedicated herself totally, as a pleasure,
more than for money. She does her best to make every guest feel at home more than
if they were in a large hotel. A stay here will ensure you learn Turkish hospitality
thoroughly.
The
hotel is a great base for visiting the nearby places, and has one of the warmest
atmospheres you will find in the town. The hotel is quiet, peaceful and spectacular.
The warmth is so great that often guests end up staying longer than planned.
The
lobby is another masterpiece with its antique pieces collected over the years
by Nilgün. The dense decoration here will keep guests busy for a considerable
time if they desire. There is also digital TV and a VCD player. Nilgün Hanim has
an exceptionally large Music archive, especially jazz, which often appeals to
guests along with the old Turkish music. Nilgün has a lot share with the guests;
a share, a teardrop, a laugh, and good conversation. She will be a great listener
when you need one.
The
garden here is yet another wonder, with much magic and mystery to offer. It is
one of a kind for relaxation, and to get lost reading your books or Nilgün's.
The hotel runs only on B&B basis, but Nilgün is able to offer directions for
a great dinner in the town. Breakfast consists of fresh and homemade food.
The
place ensures exceptional stays. Come here, stay here, stay again and again....
The place usually only runs 8 month a year, but it is possible to stay here out
of season with a reservation one month in advance.
